Musical Theatre Troupe
Ages: 6-16
Auditions every 3 months! Join our Mailing
List to be informed by postcard.
The cornerstone of Sandcastle, this troupe has been around for 9 years
and has performed in front of over a quarter million people! 35 of its
300+ alumnae have moved directly into Broadway productions and National
Tours from our program! The troupe performs two shows, The People Garden
and The New Kid, weekly at school assemblies in the North NJ / NYC area.
Participants are cast in either of the two shows and are trained according
to the material in their show, but are also educated in essential musical
theatre skills, such as: voice production, diction, projection, acting,
chorus singing, concentration, memorization, stage movement, and many
other essential stage skills and tricks. After initial training, ongoing
skills workshops and weekly rehearsals (open to all cast) enable members
to reinforce their skills and knowledge many times each week. Actors
may continue for multiple sessions and learn new roles. Some kids have
been in this troupe for over 3 years! Participation is through audition
only, and availability of roles depends on the current members choice
to continue of not. Parents MUST be able to transport kids to weekday
show locations and kids must be able to miss at least 3 school days
each session. CLICK
HERE for more details about auditioning.
